Ione Dellos, Copy Editor

Hey everybody! Welcome back to Food For The Common Dude. Since it is pumpkin carving
season, you might as well do something with all of those pumpkin seeds you have! You know, if
you eat them raw, a little pumpkin will grow inside of your stomach (sarcasm). Thankfully, I’ve
got your tiny pumpkin troubles covered with this easy recipe, which you can eat before
trick-or-treating, or bring to a Halloween party and impress all of your friends. They’ll be
grateful that you spared them the tiny stomach pumpkin trouble! If you’d like, you can use
another seasoning in place of the salt, like garlic powder, or cajun seasoning.

Prep time: 5 min
Cook time: 45 min
Ready in: 50 min

2 cups RAW pumpkin seeds
2 tablespoons vegetable oil (I used olive oil)
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper

Let’s cook!

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  2. Spread the pumpkin seeds on a medium baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle with oil. Sprinkle with salt. Bake 45 minutes in the preheated oven, stirring
    occasionally, until lightly toasted.
