A silver line splits the world into two.
The picture is framed by grime and mildew.
A single crack with the cold seeping through.
A world-splitting divide from a limited view.
The crack keeps on shining as day turns to night.
As the world starts to darken it takes on a light.
Crackling with the fury it seems to ignite,
And giving blindness to those it had promised sight.
This world has turned backward,
But what has occurred?
A tiny infraction seeming somewhat absurd.
A crack in a window leaving voices unheard.
